ChinAmericanArt is an analytical website dedicated to the Chinese-Western, particularly Chinese-American cultural interactions and artistic exchanges. It has been established by the China-based art historian of Armenian origin, Ani Margaryan, with the mission to shed light on the Chinese-American interconnections in the sphere of the visual arts, concisely the artworks with the “West meets East” messages with the focus on the turn-of-the-century (late 19th-early 20th century time period) American artists who gained inspiration from Chinatowns, Chinese people and Chinese culture.
